Sail 0.6.0
13 Oct 2026Sail 0.6.0 - MCP tools that act now ask first. A tool with no annotations, or with an acting word in its name (send, delete, create, update, post, publish, pay, book, submit), asks before each call. One yes covers one call and nothing is remembered; "Allow this server for the session" is gone. In `sail ask` nobody answers, so such a call is not made and the task ends Blocked. Read-only tools run as before. - In `sail ask`, a question nobody answers no longer goes ahead on the model's own recommendation: the task keeps to what was asked or ends "Blocked: <question>". - Sail asks for the medium tier where its gateway lists it, and follows the tier's model while the daemon runs: context size, a tier that stops resolving, and the model that answered in --stats. - Remote MCP servers: streamed answers, the negotiated protocol version, and sign-in with OAuth for a server that answers 401. - Connect a service in one message: Sail asks for the sign-in or the secret itself. Google, Slack and GitHub by sign-in are not available yet. - Schedules and event triggers: ask Sail to run something later or when a GitHub event happens. A scheduled run refuses pushes, GitHub writes, MCP tools that act and commands that need a yes; a triggered run only reads. An unattended run has its own conversation, and yours gets one line saying what ran. Schedules run only while the project's daemon is up. - Started in your home directory, Sail opens its own home workspace and skips the code-only steps there (tests, review, commit). - `sail serve`: the daemon's protocol over authenticated HTTP and SSE, for the Sail apps. Off unless run. - A commit or amend after `gh pr create` counts as unpushed until it is pushed; a blocking review finding is answered when the named command is rerun and passes. - read_files scales a large image down and attaches one only where the text says so; osascript and sips calls stop after 10 seconds. - A temp directory's owner record is written whole, and an empty one is not taken for a project that has gone.
