Plans
Tokens are unlimited on every plan. Plans differ in how many requests run at once.
Plans are coming soon.
Past a plan's requests at once, a request is refused with a retry time and Sail sends it again.
A plan covers the requests Sail makes, and its key works only from Sail. Other API keys in the workspace are charged per token from credits.
What it does
- Commands run in a sandbox
- On macOS every command runs under Seatbelt. It can write only inside the project and a temporary directory of its own, never to git's config or hooks. SSH, git, cloud and package registry credentials in your home directory are unreadable; a credential tool such as
ghorawsreads its own only when a command is that tool alone. The environment is scrubbed and the network stays open. Sail can read secret files in your project, such as.envfiles and private keys; prompts stay in memory for the session and are never written to disk. To hide them, set"hide_secrets": truein~/.config/sail/config.json. - Signs in through the browser
sail loginopens safeailabs.ai/device. The API key it creates is listed on Keys like any other and is kept in the macOS Keychain or the Linux Secret Service, or on a machine with neither, in a file only you can read that commands Sail runs cannot open.- Uses the MCP servers you have
- It reads the project's
.mcp.jsonand your~/.config/sail/mcp.json. A server the project names asks before it starts. MCP servers run outside the sandbox. - Indexes the project
- Definitions and uses in Rust, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Go, C, C++, GDScript and shell, kept in the project's git directory.
- Updates itself
- A new release is checked against its signature, downloads in the background and takes effect the next time Sail starts.
sail updateupdates now, andSAIL_NO_UPDATE=1turns automatic updates off.
