Regions

The base URL picks the region. A request runs in that region and does not run in another region.

• If no node in the region is serving the model, the request fails with 429 and the code model_not_available. The Retry-After header says when to try again. The request is not sent to another region.
• The request shapes, errors and billing are the same in every region.
• https://gbl.api.safeailabs.ai/v1 runs a request in us-region if your key and workspace allow it.
• On gbl, x-region names the region that ran the request, except for a streamed answer that took longer than 5 s to start, where it says gbl; your usage records the region either way.
• /v1/models on gbl lists each model at the highest price among its regions; a request is charged at the price of the region it ran in.
• An owner can limit every key in the workspace to some regions in Settings. A request to any other region is refused, whatever the key allows.
• Which models run in which region follows the capacity we can get. See the pricing page and the status page.
• A model that is not in the region you called returns 404 with the code model_not_found, the same answer as an unknown model.
